On the 4th we borrowed the UTV that they use for running things around the job site. Cora liked riding in it as we drove around the park, trying to keep dry between the passing rain storms.
Then we grilled some hamburgers and had a nice picnic.
On Saturday Jonathan's sister and her family drove down and we all went to Sea World. We had a very nice time spending time with our family.
They even had a nice firework show that night. We staked out a nice comfy patch of grass to watch the fireworks. And we thought we were so smart and resourceful until it started to pour just before the show started. But while everyone else ran for cover, we huddled under our little umbrellas, needless to say we still got soaked, but enjoyed the show anyhow.
I sat by little Caleb and he held on to my arm and rested his head on my shoulder while we watched the fireworks together. It was so cute, I didn't want to move! He's not a cuddly baby, so we soak up any cuddle time we can get. :-)
Cora's cousin stayed the night with us, which Cora loved. We just hung out, checked out the pond and fed the ducks while we waited for the rest of the family to join us. Then we all drove to San Marcos and took a glass bottom boat tour on an aquifer at the headwaters of the San Marcos river.
Over all we had a wonderful 4th of July weekend.
Happy Birthday Tyler!!
