Life in a 5th wheel

Well last night was our first really really cold night in our trailer.

It was in the 20's last night and raining ice all night long. It's only 25 now, wind chill of 14. It's just a little chilly inside, but we are burning up that propane!!

For some reason, we forgot to cover our water hose, and now it's frozen, but it's frozen down in the spigot. So, we don't have water today until the sun comes up and it warms up a bit.
How exciting.

Had we taken the time to prepare, this wouldn't have been a problem.

We could have wrapped the spigot and hose.

We could also have filled our water holding tank so that we'd have water even if the hose froze.

But, did we remember to do those things....nope.

So, we will spend the morning waiting on the sun.

The news just said to get up to mid 40's today so we'll see how that works out.

Guess living in a trailer isn't all a bed of roses. :-)
