Leaving Shreveport

Looks like the job here in Shreveport, LA is coming to a close, so it is time for the Loya train to hit the road again.

Up until this week we thought we were moving to Perrin, Texas.

Which isn't even a real town it's an "unincorrporated community".
Here's what Wikipedia has to say about Perrin:

"In the hayday of Texas oil the small town supported two banks and a number of other stores. Currently the town consists of: the Pirates Plank, the town's only gas station, Perrin Feed and Hardware, the Humdinger and a US Post Office."

I know, sounds thrilling, doesn't it.
Still, I was actually looking forward to small town Texas life. Besides it wasn't too far from Jonathan's family.

But as is par for the course in this line of work, plans change on an almost weekly basis.
So, instead of lazy podunk Texas, we are headed to... AUSTIN!

Here's what Wikipedia says about Austin:

"Austin was selected as the No. 2 Best Big City in "Best Places to Live" by Money magazine in 2006, and No. 3 in 2009, also the "Greenest City in America" by MSN. Austin was ranked the fifth-safest city in part because there are fewer than 3 murders per 100,000 people annually. Hummm, "best" place to live, Greenest, 5th Safest, Least stressful....sounds good to me!

Tomorrow will be our last day at our church here, sniff sniff, then there are still a few more days of work left on this job.

The plan is to hit the road sometime on Wednesday, have Thanksgiving with my family on Thursday and then shoot on over to Austin.

So look out Austin, the Loya family is headed your way.
