Church

I just wanted to thank all of you who have been praying for us to find a nice church family to connect with while we are here in Florida. We have been visiting a Presbyterian church not too far from our house. The people have been so nice and welcoming. Yesterday we went to help out at a work day they were having. We were able to go with a nice group of people and help paint the local pregnancy resource center. They even provided childcare at the church for the parents who were helping out. After we finished they provided a little lunch and we all sat around and talked. It was very nice way to spend a Saturday morning.

It was also nice to see the pregnancy center and talk to the lady who manages it. It is located not more than 20 feet from the regional abortion clinic. It was a pretty moving experience. They have dedicated volunteers who just stand around and pray for the clients going to the abortion clinic and they are always there standing outside after a procedure offering their love and support as the woman heals after her procedure. They have had many women change their minds. They have even had women come in to their center by mistake and take it as a sign that they should not have the abortion. It's an amazing place. They don't spread hate or look down on the women. They just love on them and offer to help them in anyway they can.

Like I said, It was so wonderful to go out and work in the community. Jonathan and I really enjoyed it, and the director of the center was really moved. We encourage all of you to spend a few hours some Saturday, helping someone out in any way you can.
