Escape From Reality

Jonathan has been working so much the past few weeks and Cora and I have been stuck in the trailer for days on end, that we just needed to get away. So when Jonathan came home early from work on Saturday he suggested that we get out of town for the rest of the weekend. We went to hotels.com and booked a room for Saturday night at the Hyatt in Fort Lauderdale near Sawgrass Mills mall. We quickly packed an overnight bag, our swim suits, and the dog. Then we headed down to Fort Lauderdale to check out the mall.

It's a huge mall. We went there when we were on our honeymoon 6 years ago. We had a great dinner at La Salsa. Where they had at least 6 different salsa choices for us to try. Since being in Fort Pierce we have not been able to find a good salsa to buy. So it was great meal. We spent the remainder of the evening allowing Cora to run free, all over the hotel room (which was easily twice as large as our 250 sq ft trailer). She had a wonderful time.

The next day we ate an amazing breakfast that was included with our room. The buffet was complete with smoked salmon, a cheese tray with Gouda, dried fruit, a variety of nuts and seeds to mix into yogurt, and of course all the normal breakfast items as well. It was a perfect breakfast.

After breakfast we were walking around the hotel checking out the pool and then Jonathan realized that we had been to this hotel before. We toured it when we were on out timeshare tour during our honeymoon. It's hard to explain how crazy it was to realize this. Just to think about where and who we were, the way God has work in and through the choices we have made and the events that have happened to us since we walked down that same boardwalk 6 years ago. No one else would understand, and I can't put it in words.
But we were even able to take a picture in the same Banyan tree that we took a picture in on our honeymoon. How cool is that. :-)
